    Biography

    Arthur & Karen Clayton started in the real estate and development business in the early 1980’s. Their real estate knowledge and development skills paved the way with such companies as Texaco, Chevron, Wal-Greens, Goodie Goodies, Rally’s, Whataburger, Checkers, Red Line and Allegheny Land Company allowing them all to make their mark on the DFW area. In the early 1990’s Clayton & Clayton Real Estate formed a partnership with Worthington Builders in Southlake, Texas and created a home building business.

    For 20 years they actively sought out properties, brokered the deals, developed the property, constructed homes and sold those homes. In their tenure in Southlake, Texas, Clayton & Clayton Real Estate built and developed four subdivisions (Napa Valley Estates, Evergreen Estates , Lakes on Dove Estates, and Beard Addition), along with over 40 custom homes. Clayton & Clayton Real Estate also expanded its development skills by developing over 8 different subdivisions varying size from 4 lots to 118 lots and commercial office spaces fronting onto Keller Parkway (Centerview Office Complex).

    In the summer of 2005 Clayton & Clayton Real Estate broke ground on developing a 7 acre tract in Irving, Texas for 94 custom townhomes. Clayton & Clayton Real Estate completed its construction and marketing The Manors at Valley Ranch, Ltd. in Irving, Tx. January 15, 2009. In the 3.5 years Clayton and Clayton Real Estate developed 98 lots with sewer, water, streets, built 50 luxury Townhomes, and sold 48 of the 50 townhouses.

    In 2009 Clayton & Clayton Real Estate and the family formed Clayton Fine Homes, LLC., a residential building company. The company built and closed four custom homes. The company also completed an office space in Las Colinas.

    Clayton & Clayton Real Estate has never lost its focus concerning the marketing of single family homes. Today we have a very active Residential Real Estate Company. We have incorporated several aspects of the home building business into our real estate business. What separates Clayton & Clayton Real Estate? We are committed to our clients. We work hard everyday by not just listing homes but selling homes. Your home is generally your largest asset and we treat it that way. We have an agent at each showing of your home. This helps us compare and adjust to the market. Our homes on market is half the average days on market. We have consistently out sold our listing. We guarantee a manned open house at least once a month. This allows us valuable feed back from customers in the area.
